Warm and resinous: frankincense and agarwood, the green, rooty edge of chuanxiong, a little rose and a soft ambergris accord. The richest of the four.

Materials: Agarwood accord, sandalwood, frankincense, chuanxiong (Sichuan lovage root), rose dew, ambergris accord. The agarwood and ambergris here are accords: nothing in this blend comes from a whale.

Method: Powdered, blended and shaped into beads by hand.

Origin: Ambergris, longxian 龍涎 or "dragon's saliva", was among the most prized incense materials of the Song dynasty.
